Dr Arabella Simpkin Begin
Dr Arabella Simpkin Begin is an Oxford and Harvard-trained physician, academic, and author, and a Fellow and Director of Clinical Medicine at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. She has held faculty and leadership roles at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Imperial College, London.
For over two decades, Arabella has explored how humans respond to uncertainty, and how learning to navigate it differently can transform the way we think, decide and thrive.
Her work challenges our deeply ingrained desire for certainty, drawing on neuroscience, behavioural science, and insights from those operating at the frontier of the unknown—from astronauts and pilots to entrepreneurs, elite athletes, leaders, and creatives.
What if our greatest opportunities for growth, innovation and human flourishing lie not in eliminating uncertainty, but in learning to embrace it?
